Diefenbaker Building Lobby
The Diefenbaker Canada Centre (DCC) cordially invites you to attend the official opening of Deo et Patriae – For God and Country: The University of Saskatchewan and The Great War, an exhibit curated by Teresa Carlson and produced by the DCC, and Vimy – Battle. Memorial. Icon., a travelling exhibition produced by the Canadian War Museum.
Deo et Patriae examines how the Great War profoundly altered the University of Saskatchewan and irrevocably transformed its sense of identity as an institution. Vimy highlights how the battle was planned, fought, and won; how Canadians have commemorated the victory and loss; and how Vimy has become a powerful national symbol.
Please join them on Sunday, April 9th at 1 p.m. in the lobby of the Diefenbaker Building, as they commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge, and officially launch these two compelling exhibits.
They look forward to seeing you. RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org
