Come early to enjoy music by OrKidstra youth in the lobby of the Museum.
A reception with light refreshments will follow the performance at approximately 8:15pm. The Museum’s Vimy Exhibit will be open to guests.

The evening will appeal to an audience of music lovers, history enthusiasts and all Canadians, alike. Vimy – A Commemoration in Words and Music will be emceed by celebrated CBC personality Lucy Van Oldenbarneveld, internationally renowned Canadian historian, Margaret MacMillian, will be speaking, while the main focus of the the evening will feature Canadian composer, Andrew Ager’s, The Unknown Soldier. This original oratory, presented by a combined choir with baritone soloist, Gary Dahl, and orchestra, under the direction of Andrew Ager, is an enlightened musical masterpiece. This one hour and ten minute presentation includes select readings from letters written by soldiers of the Great War. A reception with light refreshments will follow with the opportunity to view the Museum’s Vimy exhibitions.
