#100DaysofVimy – 7 January 2017

Each Saturday, we’ll share some reflections from our past student participants about the impact of their visit to Vimy Ridge and other sites of the First World War.

“One of the most meaningful moments was when I got to see the grave of my great uncle. My whole family back home was excited for me and they told me to tell him “hello” so that he wouldn’t rest alone after so much time. It was exactly 99 years ago since he died the day that I went to visit him and I’ve never felt that kind of loss before.”  – Merren Russell, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Beaverbrook Vimy Prize 2016
